AUCA has confirmed the environmental certification of Best Recycle Practice. On May 19, AUCA issued a new certificate of conformity, demonstrating that our university this year, for the 2nd time, passed voluntary environmental certification in the Waste Management Network in the Kyrgyz Republic WasteNet.kg and confirmed compliance with the requirements of eco-labelling.

The intensive program National Security Language Initiative for Youth, sponsored by the US Department of State, was successfully completed. The AUCA is thankful to be privileged in hosting NSLI-Y Program in Bishkek to support the study of the U.S. high school students

On May 6-7, the annual Central Asian Cup, an international grand debate tournament, occurred within the walls of AUCA (American University of Central Asia). The tournament traditionally brings together the strongest speakers from across Central Asia.

  BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 29, 2023 – more than 2 thousand people participated in the large-scale creative industries festival Create4-2023 "Jaratman Toi". Festival Create4 is a unique, extensive platform in support of the development of the creative economy of the country and the entire community of creative people, initiated by the United Nations Development Program in Kyrgyzstan and the Association of Creative Industries in 2022.

The AUCA’s Applied Geology Department participated in a photo contest, "Geology through the Eyes of Children."

On Monday, April 24th, the Foundation for the Development of Geology summarised the results of the photo contest "Geology through the eyes of children", where the participants were schoolchildren from 10 to 18 years old.

The Visual Storytelling for Civic Engagement and the OSUN network is a course designed to teach students the art of visual storytelling through various media. As part of this course, the students are given the opportunity to showcase their skills by participating in the OSUN film festival.

On December 2, 2022, the ceremony of laying time capsules in the Makerspace Learning and Design Center building, which is currently under construction, took place. The project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Bard College, and AUCA.

Altynai Nuralieva, a graduate of the Business Administration department, class of 2022. Currently, she works as an audit associate at one of the Kyrgyz branches of Big4 companies, the world's four largest professional services networks and the global accounting networks that provide audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services to major corporations.
